Therapy & Method

What is sex therapy?

Sex therapy supports you in better understanding your sexuality and yourself as a sexual being, clarifying challenges, and changing and shaping your experience the way you want it to be. Sex therapy is for both individuals and couples: regardless of whether a specific concern, uncertainty, or simply the wish for greater connection with yourself is at the forefront.

Where can sex therapy help?

For example, with low desire, pain, insecurities, pressure, or the feeling of having lost connection to your body or your sexuality. Sex therapy can also help if you're wondering whether your sexual needs are normal, or if you and your partner want to find your way back to each other. Sex therapy is valuable for anyone who wants to understand, change, or deepen something in their sexuality.

What is the Sexocorporel method?

Sexocorporel is a holistic approach in sex therapy that connects body and psyche. Alongside conversation, body, breath, and awareness exercises are also part of the work. All exercises are done fully clothed and without physical touch.

What is the difference between sex therapy and psychotherapy?

Sex therapy is an independent discipline that complements psychotherapy well. Emotions, relationship and thought patterns are central topics here too — but the entry point is the body and sexual experience. For processing trauma or mental health conditions, I recommend psychotherapeutic support; both can be pursued in parallel.

Do the exercises involve physical touch?

No. All body, breath, and awareness exercises are done fully clothed, without physical touch, and at your own pace.
